Exploring the places where I live, on foot and with my camera helps me to look closely at my surroundings and extract scenes that I Identify with these places. These vessels include imagery related to the areas in and around Greensboro, North Carolina, where I live and work. Borrowing from these photographs, I combine utilitarian forms with painted images to create intimate objects for use and contemplation.
